What would you do if your health wasn't holding you back?

My team and I created our common-sense health coaching program to help you answer this question.
In this exclusive program, I work with you 1:1 to help you navigate your own longevity journey so you can live the future you want.

Meet Marcus

I'm Marcus Frick, founder of 66.1. I refined my common-sense approach to health and wellness during 2 years living in rural Zambia as a Peace Corps Volunteer.

Those 2 years in Zambia led to one lightbulb moment after another as I examined my neighbors' health and wellness habits in rural (off-grid) Zambia. These people were leaner, stronger, happier, and overall healthier than most people I knew in the United States.

And this isn't just starry-eyed subjectivity: according to the Global Obesity Observatory, just 24.2% of adults in Zambia were overweight or obese, compared to 73.9% in the US, according to 2017 data (the most recent year for which data for both countries is available).

After my time in Zambia, I wanted to help address the health crisis back home in the US.

This ambition started me down the path to medical school before I realized that a medical degree wouldn't equip me with the skills required to help patients build their health proactively.

After deciding not to go to medical school, I found the field of health coaching. Trained by the Mayo Clinic as a health and wellness coach, I am prepared to help you change your habits to transform your health.

As a health coach to cancer patients at the Mayo Clinic, I witnessed firsthand the power of coaching in creating a life of freedom through health.

As a health coach, I help my clients lose weight, have more energy, and live a healthy life without prescriptions.

Take the first step in reclaiming your freedom

Our 1:1 coaching engagement means you'll have a Mayo Clinic-certified health and wellness coach in your corner for the next 6 months.
We'll review the basics of
what to do to build your health and then we'll work together to implement these healthy habits and routines until they become second nature.
After our 6 months together, you'll be leaner, stronger, more confident, and looking forward to your healthy future.

What to expect

Over the course of our 6 months working together, we'll spend 16 hours in 1:1 sessions.

Week 1: 2-hour deep dive into your personal longevity story and review your health goals.

Weeks 2-6: weekly 1-hour meetings to set goals, review progress from previous weeks, and refine goals going forward.

Weeks 7-24: You're well on your way. Our task now is to make your new wellness practices second nature. During this period, we'll have biweekly 30-minute meetings to lock in your new healthy habits so you can continue your upward spiral.

But you won't be all alone between our 1:1 sessions:

On non-meeting weeks, our team will check in with you to see how you are progressing with your goals.

Questions are always welcome via text message.

My personal guarantee

This approach works. Not quickly and not without effort, but it works. I've seen it work for cancer patients while working at the Mayo Clinic, and it's now my goal to help you before you end up with irreversible damage from a chronic disease.

But it's tough to believe that we can help you lose weight, reduce your joint pain, and get back to exercising regularly, enjoying your hobbies, and relishing time with your family and friends, all without the use of prescription medications or weight-loss surgery.

The healthcare industrial complex has fed you a narrative of powerlessness--that your healthy living goals are on the other side of some miracle drug or procedure--and this is just plain wrong. Even if you take Wegovy or Ozempic for weight loss, studies have shown that you'll regain the weight if you don't maintain healthy habits.

All that's to say: I know what we do in our 1:1 coaching sessions works. It's actually your only hope at maintaining a healthy body well into your 8th decade of life. But it's hard to pay an invoice for thousands of dollars before you've seen the results.

So here's my guarantee: If you do everything we discuss during our 1:1 sessions and you haven't achieved the health goals you set in our initial sessions, I'll refund your entire payment. Yep. You get to decide how we measure success and you get to determine if we were successful.

What clients are saying

"I work 12+ hour days and that makes it tough to make time for my health. Marcus was like a mirror and helped me to see the small windows of opportunity to build my health. I've transformed my snacking from gas station prepared food to fruits and nuts. I'm still really busy, but I feel stronger, more energetic, and most importantly, optimistic about my long-term health."

--Scott

"When I started working with Marcus, my quality of life was terrible. I was in so much pain I couldn't put my own socks on. Now, thanks to Marcus' guidance, I'm returning to my previous level of fitness that will allow me to travel to Egypt and see the pyramids, walk my dogs, and clean my own house."

--Rachel

FAQs

What is a health coach?

In Dr. Mark Hyman's words, health coaches are "Behavior Change Ninjas".

Here's the deal: I'm not your doctor and I'm not your therapist. I'm your guide as you build healthy habits and routines into your daily life.

Most doctors aren't trained in the principles of behavioral psychology that health coaches are. They're great at telling you what to do, but not always so great at helping you do it. It's not their fault--they don't have time and they're not trained for it.

As a health coach, I leverage my expertise in behavior change, your personal and family histories, and your values and goals to help you nudge your habits and behaviors in a healthier direction. Those habits are the key to living life in a body that feels good and moves well for decades to come.

Importantly, I won't encourage you to do anything you don't want to, no matter how beneficial it might be for your health.
The hard truth about behavior change is that it has to come from the client themselves.

In a coach-client relationship, we'll focus on the things you'd like to do to build your health, build momentum, and progressively tackle bigger challenges over the course of our 6 months working together.

Speaking of which...

6 months seems like a long time. Why so long?

Research shows that building new habits takes around 66 days. Given that we won't begin habit-building conversations until week 2 (it's important that I understand your values, history, and priorities for this engagement before we dive headlong into goal setting), and these goals and habits often require refinement before they're worth adapting into your daily routine, it's important to give ourselves plenty of time.

6 months is enough time to experiment with goal setting and behavior change and master your new healthy habits and routines before we part ways.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

You bet we do. See the "my personal guarantee" section above.

Who is this for?

It's for anyone who's life-and-death serious about reclaiming their health, once and for all.
Maybe you're suffering from a chronic disease, have a family history of chronic disease, or want to lose a few pounds so you can reconnect with your spouse.

My approach is less about the exact problem we're solving, more about how we're solving it.
If you've ever struggled to implement the healthy habits and behaviors you know will change your life for the better, a health coach might be right for you.

How will I feel after we work together?

Less anxious, more confident. More energetic. Less fatigued. Optimistic. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Do you test labs?

As much as I believe in making data-driven decisions, diagnosis is outside my scope of practice as a health coach. So, no, we don't test your labs. However, I personally believe that getting your labs tested bi-annually can be a great tool to monitor your progress and build long-lasting health.

This sounds expensive. How much? And why so expensive?

$6,000.

If you're still reading, hear me out.
You know the old saying: "Time is money." Well, I'm a firm believer that that train runs in two directions. In this case, money is time. Sure, you're going to be investing a significant chunk of cash for us to work together. But the changes to your health that will result at the end of our 6-month engagement will literally add years to your life. Don't believe me?

Consider these stats:

Having Type 2 Diabetes at age 50 is associated with a life expectancy loss of 6 years.

Having obesity (BMI greater than 30--a condition that affects 40% of US adults) is associated with a life expectancy loss of 3-10 years, depending on the severity.

Having high blood pressure is associated with a life expectancy loss of 5 years.

If you still don't agree that we're solving a problem well in excess of $6,000 of value, we're not the right fit.
If you see that value but can't swing the finances right now, we're working on more wallet-friendly offerings for you.
Thank you for your interest, and please keep an eye out for these offerings.

What clients are saying

"I started working with Marcus because to me, "healthy" means more than being disease free. I had conquered a significant battle with chronic disease, but I didn't feel positively healthy. With Marcus' guidance, I slowly rebuilt my strength from being able to walk just 3-5 minutes at a time to now taking daily walks of 20 minutes plus."

--Patricia

"I'm an all-or-nothing type of person. I'll eat 3 Big Macs if you put them in front of me. I've also completed a couple Ironmans. As I grow older (I'm in my late 50s), I'm less interested in this pendulum-swinging approach to health and fitness and more interested in a sustainable approach so I can be there to watch my grandson's baseball games for the next 15 years. Working with Marcus has helped me build the habits of lifting weights and eating clean. I feel better, have more energy, and most importantly, I'm optimistic that I'll be around for all of my grandson's baseball games."
